One Piece Card Rarities Explained

One Piece cards print their rarity in the bottom corner next to the set code, as a short abbreviation that places the card immediately.

C is Common and UC is Uncommon. These two make up the bulk of any pack and are usually modest. R is Rare, the middle tier, and this group contains a number of competitive staples, so some Rares are worth more than their tier suggests.

SR is Super Rare, where prices start to move seriously, and it covers many of the special-art cards.

SEC is Secret Rare, the scarcest tier in a normal booster. The most valuable card in a main set usually sits here.

L marks a Leader card, the deck's captain, one per deck. Leaders are not expensive because they are scarce; they are expensive when they anchor a strong deck, so their prices track the competitive meta rather than rarity.

What sets One Piece apart from other games is that promotional cards from events — especially serial-numbered ones — can be worth many times an SEC from a normal booster, simply because far fewer exist.

So rarity is useful for placing a card roughly, but it is not a price. The reliable method is to open the card page and read the actual market price for the language edition you hold.
